I finally got my RAZRv3 phone to connect via Linux. It’s a good feeling that I got it to work, but it’s a bad feeling that I paid that $25 for the Windows version of this that sucks like no other.
Moto4lin is pretty cool as I get to see everything on the phone, even system stuff!

While I was navigating through the “system” folder, I accidentally clicked “Delete” instead of “Download” on the “cl.gif” file. I got really nervous and decided to not prolong the inevitable by rebooting the phone. I figured since it was a gif I’d be fine. And fine I was. Turns out “cl.gif” is the little Cingular logo that appears on the external LCD when you’re on the phone. Now instead of seeing the Cingular logo, I see a sweet Moto logo. Huzzah!

No more accidental file deletions from me. I’ve got the power to do anything, but I’ll probably stick to just uploading new ringtones and downloading pictures….
