Build 5536
Posted in August 29th, 2006
Published in General
Windows Vista Build 5536 (Pre-RC1) is almost here.
RC1 means “Release Candidate 1.” When Microsoft makes available the first release candidate of a product, it means the software is in its final stages of being ready to head to the manufacturer. The goal of making RC1 available is to show testers as close to a final version of the product as possible so Microsoft can identify and get rid of all of the last-minute bugs before putting the product on CDs.
Microsoft plans to have at least two Release Candidates. If there are only two, then Microsoft will likely hit it’s deadline of release for businesses this November and for consumers this January.
Stand by for a review soon…
