When Microsoft announced Windows Vista, they mentioned that all the cool new games would require Vista. They “couldn’t be played” on XP. While you could cite plausible excuses like “XP doesn’t have DirectX 10,” they all still seem like plausible excuses for you to upgrade to Vista.

That is, until now. The hacker group Razor1911 has managed to crack the “Vista-only” game Shadowrun, allowing it to run on a regular Windows XP box. This small (less than 5MB) crack apparently removes the need for the specific version of DirectX (v10).

No, you won’t find the crack here, but I’m sure you’ll find it out there somewhere.
