A sandwich without bread

Here’s an interesting theory: if you take a comic strip and remove the main character, does the comic remain interesting, or does it lose it’s appeal?

Last Day

Bill Gates Last Day

Well, it’s June 27, and Bill Gates has stepped down from his daily tasks at Microsoft. Microsoft bashing is fun for a lot of people, but take note that if it weren’t for Microsoft, technology as we know it would be extremely different. I’ll even go as far to say that if it weren’t for Microsoft, it’s unlikely I’d be in the field of technology.

Hats off to you, Mr. Gates. Best of luck to you and your foundation.

Typical Lunch

12:30PM :

Mike: So, what are you doing now?

Me: Finishing my sub, and reading the emerge man page.

Mike: Doesn’t get much better than that?

Me: No, no it doesn’t.

An Honest Answer

So I got a text message from a number that I didn’t recognize in the 262 area code. It asked the following:

Microsoft or borg who would win and why

To which I responded:

Microsoft. They will allow the Windows division to be assimilated. Once the code has saturated the borg command unit, the code will begin consuming system resources at an unstoppable rate, thus leading to the borg’s self-destruction. That, or the borg will fall to a giant fleet of lawyers sent by Microsoft bcause the borg is using an unreleased and copied, non-authentic, unactivated version of Windows code, as dictated by the end user license agreement.

I sent another message afterwards:

Ps, who is this?

This person has not yet identified themselves. I don’t blame them.
